Artist Statement

             My paintings depict sacred aspects about my home and the relationships I share within it. With an emphasis on point of view, my compositions expose an autobiographical perspective. Through the aid of photographic references, I use oil paint on canvas and wood panels to meditate on these fleeting moments within mundane areas. The act of painting has always helped me to stay grounded in the present. My work explores banal and intimate spaces to commemorate what we often take for granted.
